VACANCIES

The approximate number of vacancies to be filled on the results of this examination will be as under –

National Defence Academy: 360 (208 for Army, 60 for Navy and 92 for Air Force)Naval Academy : 55 NOTE- A candidate is required to specify clearly in the Online Application Form the Services for which he wishes to be considered in the order of his preference [1 to 4]. 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University

For Air Force And Naval Wings Of National Defence Academy And For The 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme At The Indian Naval Academy

12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University. NOTE- Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

 FEE DETAILS-

Candidates (excepting SC/ST candidates/Sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs specified in Note 2 below who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/-(Rupees one hundred only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/MasterCard/Rupay Credit/Debit Card.

The Online Applications can be filled . The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the examination. ARMY (TES)

TECHNICAL ENTRY SCHEME (TES) Notification

Indian Army had announced Entry applications for unmarried Male Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) subjects. Eligibility conditions is that those candidates who have passed 10+2 Examination or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from any recognized boards are eligible to apply for  TES. Cutoff will be made on the overall PCM percentage based on marks obtained in Class XII in various state and other central boards.

HOW TO APPLY TES

Online applications will be only accepted. For this candidate need to apply through website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in and then by clicking on “online application” button appeared on website. By following these instruction it will became very easy for you to apply in lucid and convenient form-

  1. Read Terms and conditions linked with the form carefully, before submitting the form. Candidates must enter their original details in the online form application.
  2. After submitting the final form an acknowledgement with a Roll number will be displayed on the screen, Candidate are requested to carefully take print out of acknowledged form. If in any case, the system does not generate final Roll Number then it will be an indication of non-acceptance of application by the system.
  3. After submitting online application, candidates are requested to take two copies of the application printout and the Roll Number generated by the system. Copy of the print out application duly Signed by the candidate will be carried to the selection centre for the SSB interview. Following documents will be carried along with the Application Form such as (i) Class 10th certificate / mark sheet showing DOB in original. (ii) Class 12th certificate / mark sheet in original. (iii) ID proof in original. (iv) ADHAAR Card is mandatory to bring.
  4. Two self-attested photocopies of the above mentioned certificates will be submitted at the time of SSB interview and originals will be returned after verification at the SSB.
  5. Candidate should carry 20 copies of Passport size photograph also along with the Application Form.
  6. The second copy of the printout of online application is to be retained by the candidate for his reference.
  7. Candidates must submit only one application receiving of multiple applications from of the same candidate will tend to cancellation of candidature.

Important Instruction For TES

NOTE 1: All candidates selected to join Indian Army are required to have their Aadhar Card prior to joining training. All candidates applying to Join Indian Army are therefore advised to obtain Aadhar Card at the earliest.

NOTE 2: Candidate should take care with the date of birth as per recorded in Matriculation/ Higher Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate on the date of submission of application only that will be accepted and after submission of application, subsequent request for change in it will not be considered or granted. NOTE 3 Candidates must undertake not to marry until they complete their full training in IMA. If a candidate marries during training he will be discharged and will be liable to refund all expenditure incurred on him by the government.

10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry

In comparison of other forces Navy is regarded as most technical force which conducts recruitment drive throughout the year for various branches. 10+2 B.Tech cadet entry scheme is also one such exam which invites application from UNMARRIED MALE CANDIDATES (fulfilling the conditions of nationality as laid down by the Govt. of India) to join the prestigious Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala for a four year degree course under the 10+2 (B Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme.

10+2 (B.TECH) CADET ENTRY SCHEME ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

  • Age– Born between 02 Jan  and 01 Jul (both dates inclusive)
  • Educational Qualification-Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examinations from any Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM-Passing in each subject mandatory) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).

Who Can Apply 10+2 (B.TECH) CADET ENTRY SCHEME

Candidates who have appeared for JEE (Main) 2017 exam. Call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) will be issued on basis of JEE (Main) 2017 All India Rank.

10+2 (B.TECH) CADET ENTRY SCHEME

SELECTION PROCEDURE

Integrated Head Quarter of Ministry Of Defence is the responsible body for shortlisting the application for SSB Interview based on JEE (Main) All India Rank- 

SSB interviews for short listed candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore / Bhopal / Coimbatore / Visakhapatnam from Feb – Apr 

Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview on their E-mail or through SMS as provided by candidate in their application form.

A choice of date for appearing in SSB will be indicated in the application dashboard for shortlisted candidates. Any correspondence regarding change of SSB date is to be addressed to the Call up Officer of the concerned SSB. Award of fresh dates for SSB would be subject to availability off batches/slots.

10+2 (B.TECH) CADET ENTRY SCHEME TRAINING

The training is scheduled to commence in Jul . Candidates recommended by the SSBs and declared medically fit, will be selected for training in Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala, Kerala based on All India Merit and on the number of vacancies. All India Merit will be prepared as per SSB marks. Selected Candidates will be inducted as Cadets for four year B. Tech course in applied Electronics & Communication Engineering (for Executive Branch), Mechanical Engineering (for Engineering Branch including Naval Architect specialization) or Electronics & Communication Engineering (for Electrical Branch) as per Naval requirements. On completion of the course, B. Tech Degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).

Group Discussion (GD)

  1. Medical Examination

General Medical Standards are as follows: –

Height: Minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cms.

Chest:Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm

Weight: Proportionate to height and age. However, minimum weight of 55 Kg required.

Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable.

Hearing:Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.

Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.

Health:Candidate should be free from medical or surgical deformity. He should be free from all communicable diseases and skin ailments. Candidate must be physically and mentally fit to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.

Body Tattoo: Permanent body tattoos are not permitted, however tattoos only on inner face of the fore arms (inside of elbow to the wrist),back (dorsal) part of the hand/reverse side of palm and Tribals with tattoos which are as per custom and traditions of their tribes may be considered. However, right to decide on acceptability/ unacceptability of the individual rests with the Selection Centre. Candidates with permanent body tattoos are to submit two photographs (close up and distant view) with details of size and type of the Tattoo.

Tenure & Training.
  • Enrolment is for an initial period of 20 years extendable up to the age of 57 years (subject to service conditions).
  • Initially candidates will be sent for a Joint Basic Phase Training (JBPT) at Basic Training Institute, Belagavi (Karnataka).
  • On successful completion of JBPT, candidates will be allocated trades and sent for trade training of specified durations. Training is however liable to be terminated at any time if the trainee fails to achieve the required standards in academics, profession, physical fitness and discipline or is found to be medically unfit.
Pay & Allowances
  • During training, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be paid.
  • On completion of training the starting gross emoluments will be as follows:-
  • Group „X‟ Trades -Rs.33,100/- per month plus Dearness allowance (as applicable)

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

  • Age– Minimum 18 Years and maximum 22 years i.e. between 01 Aug 1996 to 31 Jul 2000 (Both dates inclusive). Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.
  • Educational Qualification. 10+2 passed with 50% marks aggregate in total and minimum 50% aggregate in Maths and Physics.

TRAINING

The basic training will commence in Aug 2017 at INS Chilka followed by sea training and professional training in the allotted trade. Branch/trade will be allocated as per the requirement of service and performance during basic training. Naviks are liable to be discharged as UNSUITABLE due to unsatisfactory performance at any time during the training.

Educational Standards-

  • 10th pass with minimum 33% marks in each subject and 45% marks in aggregate
  • Education Boards with Grading System-Minimum of D grade (33- 40) in individual subjects and overall aggregate of C 2 grade (41-50) points is considered
  • 10+2 pass or more need not have 45% marks in 10th .

Soldier Clerk/Store Keeper (Clk/SKT).

Age– 17 ½ to 23 years

Educational Standards-

  • 10+2 pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% in aggregate and 50% in each subject
  • The candidate should have studied and passed English and Maths/Accounts/ Book Keeping at 10th or 12th level.
  • If candidate is graduate with Maths and English as his subject in BSc, the stipulation of scoring 50% in Class X/Class XII is waived off.
  • In case candidate is graduate but not having English and Maths/Accts/Book Keeping, he should have secured more than 50% in English & Maths/Accts/ Book Keeping at least once in Class X or Class XII.

Soldier Technical

Age– 17 ½ to 23 years

Educational Standards-

  • Minimum 10+2 passed in science with English. Physics, Chemistry and Maths with 50% in aggregate and 40% in each subject.

Soldier Nursing Assistant (Sol NA & Sol (NA VET)

Age– 17 ½ to 23 years

Educational Standards-

  • Minimum 10+2 passed in science with Physics, chemistry, Biology and English with 40% marks in each subject and a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  • In case of a graduate having BSc Degree (Botany/Zoology/Bio Science) and English (Simple Pass) the stipulation of percentage in class 12th is not mandatory.

Soldier Tradesmen (Tdn)

Age– 17 ½ to 23 years

Educational Standards-

  • Minimum 10th Pass-Chef Community, Steward, Washerman, Dresser (Barber), Kennelman, Painter, Tailor, Equipment Repairer (Support Staff), Saddler (U), Artisan (Metallurgy) and Artisan (Wood Worker).
  • Minimum 8th Pass. House Keeper (Safaiwala), Mess Keeper
